Something I did to make the Halo 3 Spartan look more "Reach-ish"
I am impressed with how I did on the diffuse texture, I still wish I had crazy bump for the normal, I do have zBrush, but I don't know HOW to use it.
As for the specular map, I looked closely at some Reach textures I had, and followed that example.
I tore apart the UVW on the entire spartan, and redid the entire thing, The body textures are separated into two separate maps, one for the armor, and one for the suit.
I used Paint tool SAI and Adobe Photoshop CS3 for the texture :3
